SNOW WHITE HITS THE SPOT

Dolly Dumpling (Steve Barclay, complete with ukulele) and ever changing costumes, was hilarious as the raucous Dame Dolly Dumpling and goes down a treat both with the kids and adults alike!

ALADDIN OPENING NIGHT IS A SUCCESS

The opening night of Aladdin brought magic, music and plenty of laughter to Lichfield's Garrick Theatre.
Brilliant pantomime dame Widow Twankey, played by Steve Barclay.
His outrageously camp dresses became more hilarious as the show went on.

BEST SHOW  I’VE SEEN

The best bit of the whole show was when  Steve Barclay came on as Dame Widow Twankey, he was really funny and he has to be the best dame I’ve ever seen!

The Civic Hall in Bedworth has announced that STEVE BARCLAY is returning to play DAME DOTTY DIMPLE in JACK AND THE BEANSTALK over Christmas 2009.

Steve proved a huge hit with audiences in ALADDIN in 2008 and enjoyed his time in Bedworth so much that he's decided to spend Christmas here again.

Tim Norton, Manager of the Civic Hall, said 'Steve was a real favourite with our audiences last year and was such a great supporter of everything happening in the Borough that the opportunity to work with him again was welcome.  He brings something new  to each production and we can guarantee that DAME DOTTY will be amongst the best dressed with Steve's amazing collection of frocks!'

Our traditional fun packed pantomime for all the family brought to you by the Civic Hall. Guaranteed to bring a smile to your face whatever your age, preparations are already well under way to ensure that Jack and his mum, Dame Dotty Dimple, have lots of adventures before discovering whether the beans were a good investment. Starring our own favourite Panto Dame, Steve Barclay who’s joined by Bob Brolly as the Voice of the Giant, Matt Ford, Emma Davies and the Judith Vardy Dancers with guest appearances from Oakey Bear and a host of local talent.

JACK AND THE BEANSTALK opens at the Civic Hall on 7th December and plays until 29th December.
