Steve Barclay’s
Steve has worked theatres nation wide with stars such as Danny La Rue OBE, Vince Hill, John Inman, Sir Norman Wisdom, Roy Hudd OBE, and Rick Wakeman. Steve has enjoyed playing the Swansea Grand, Bristol Hippodrome, Leeds City Varieties, and even the World famous London Palladium.

Steve has cruised the world entertaining passengers on the ocean wave, both in Cabaret and production shows, delighting passengers with his brand of stand up comedy, zany impressions and  music, plus some mean ukulele playing!

During his career Steve has played Buttons, Wishy Washy, and most of the comic pantomime parts. In 2001 Steve played Muddles with Wayne Sleep as Dame Tilly in Roy Hudd’s Jack and the Beanstalk.  

Steve played his first dame at the Dearngate theatre Northampton with Freddie Garrity and Fraser Heinz since then Steve has never stopped playing dame including Dame Sarah the cook Nurse Dolly, the list is endless!

Rick Wakeman played Abernasa in Roy Hudd’s Aladdin for the Hiss and Boo Company at the HFC Truro to sell out business Steve was booked by popular demand as Dame Widow Twankey.

Steve played Dame Widow Twankey to Jimmy Cricket as Wishy Washy at Lichfields Garrick Theatre in Alladin and even played a haunted bedroom scean with his comedy pal Jimmy to great success. Double act Little & Large played two nauty school boys in a school room scene to Steve’s Dame Dolly Dumpling at the Theatre Royal Hanley. Sixties hart throb Jess Conrad starred as Sheriff in this Jim Davidson production.

More recently Steve played Dame Widow Twankey at Lincoln’s lovely Theatre Royal starring comedy legends Cannon and Ball with Robin Askwith as Abernaza.
